Player Requirements

The game is conducted in English so you should be fluent.

Age: 16+

Technical

You need:

• A reasonably modern PC/laptop (touch devices like iPad won’t cut it).

  • At least 8Gb of memory (I’ve tried 4Gb, it’s not a great experience).

• A modern internet browser. I use:

  • Brave v1.68
  • Vivaldi v6.8

  But any recent browser should work.

• A stable internet connection. (I recommend at least 10 Mb/s, slower connections will be painful when loading the game but should be okay otherwise.)

• A good (clear) microphone.

• We will use either Zoom or Discord for in-game video/audio. (I’ve had varied success with Discord. I find Zoom is more stable and less resource hungry, but I’m happy to go with whichever the group prefer.)

We will conduct a test before you commit to play to ensure your system works well with this setup.

Character Creation

Create your character on DnDBeyond. You can create up to six characters with a free account. I am available to help you with this process (we can arrange this via Discord, see above).

I will then import your character into the FoundryVTT and we will arrange a time to test your setup using your character. This is also a chance for you to learn a bit about using my Foundry VTT setup.

DndBeyond Character Creation

Please note the following when creating your character for this adventure.

1. Home:
   1. Deselect Homebrew under Character Preferences -> Sources
   2. Deselect ALL entries under Character Preferences -> Partnered Content
   3. Change Character Preferences -> Character Privacy to Public (otherwise I won’t be able to import them to FoundryVTT).

   1. Select Point Buy under Ability Scores
3. Equipment
   1. Choose Equipment under Choose Equipment -> Starting Equipment.
   2. You can the choose to buy other items using your available gold (shown at the bottom of the Equipment page). You will need to adjust the balance as you buy things (I will check this as I import the character).
